Meet Tim Dashwood

Tim Dashwood can be best described as a “Jack of All Trades,” constantly swapping hats as Director, Cinematographer, Editor and Stereographer. He is the creator of the acclaimed Stereo3D Toolbox suite of stereoscopic post-production tools for Final Cut Studio and After Effects and also moderates the Stereoscopic 3D Forum on DV Info Net. Dashwood is the co-owner & CTO of Toronto-based Stereo3D Unlimited and president of Dashwood Cinema Solutions, the publisher of the Stereo3D Toolbox family of software.

Dashwood’s production company, Stereo3D Unlimited, recently shot and released the world’s first stereoscopic 3D music video “Shake The Apple” by Ariana Gillis. The four minute video was shot at Stereo3D Unlimited’s studio in Toronto using two Arri Alexa cameras, Zeiss Master Prime lenses, the Stereo3D Tango beamsplitter rig, and Dashwood Cinema Solutions’ Stereo3D Live™ calibration/analysis software. Post was completed in Final Cut Pro and After Effects with Dashwood Cinema Solutions’ Stereo3D Toolbox™.
